What sort of church are we?

Jesus said that the greatest commandments were these:
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is this:"Love your neighbour as yourself." (Matthew 22.37-3)

Our fundamental aim as a congregation is to grow into this love, and to equip and encourage one another to love as Christ has loved us.

We meet together
  • to adore God in our worship
  • to become like Jesus in our lives
  • to love and support one another in fellowship

We seek to express our love for our neighbour through
  • sharing our faith with those who do not know Christ
  • showing compassion for the needy
  • caring for the culture and society in which we live
  • cherishing the earth which God gave to us

We are part of the Church of England, and the Diocese of Exeter. We accept the Scriptures as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct and confess the Apostolic Faith in One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
